A picturesque marvel graces the forested slopes just above the trail. With its dual trunks rising to the sky, this charming tree exudes elegance where the whispers of the wind radiate tranquility.
This section has a true “heart of the forest” feeling, where quiet surroundings seem to amplify the sounds of nature.
Rarely when you’re deep in a forest do you get to see the sky and feel the sun on your skin, but Western Skyway provides the exception. Large natural clearings create space for sunlight to filter through the generously spaced trees, highlighting pockets of colorful wildflowers.
The western edge of this section features filtered mountain views over the San Bernardino Valley.
We invite you to enjoy a personalized forest tour hosted by our Forest Guides. Bring your friends & family, meet your tree and our team, and experience the beauty of the forest you are helping to protect.
We are currently closed for our winter closure, February through March, visits by appointment will resume in April. We look forward to hosting you soon!
If you’re comfortable navigating independently, the forest is always open to hikers. You’re welcome to come with friends, family, and leashed pets to enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the forest. While staff assistance and UTV transport will not be available, you’re welcome to visit and explore on your own.
