It’s our belief that your legacy is what you leave behind for the future generations. Here at Better Place Forests, we support families in their end of life arrangements while conserving and protecting natural areas for future generations.
We get it. Death isn’t easy to talk about, which makes it hard to plan for. We’re here to help you tell your story through a memorial that is meaningful, personal and beautiful.
After losing both of his parents by 11 years old, our Co-founder, Sandy, began to imagine what a better place to remember and celebrate a loved one might look like.
Brad and Jamie joined Sandy in 2015 to create Better Place Forests. We believe in a common desire to help individuals and families write better endings to their stories.
We want to change the way we talk about, plan for and create end of life experiences. Rather than cemetery grounds, we imagine lush, natural forest lands. Your legacy lives on in a memorial forest—for you, your loved ones, and the planet.
In the U.S., cemeteries cover a million acres of land. We want the next million acres to be protected forests instead, alive with memories.
A memorial can be more than a tombstone and a patch of grass. It can be uplifting and inspiring. It can be full of life, part of nature, and a meaningful contribution to protecting beautiful forestland.
And the process? It can be more personal. More affordable. Even more enjoyable.
Thank you for trusting us with this chapter of your story. We’re honored to be a part of it.
